WiCAD is a proprietary computer simulation toolset that WiTricity custom developed for designing and building highly resonant wireless power transfer (HRWPT) systems. WiCAD provides WiTricity engineers and scientists with a library of powerful modeling algorithms to design and simulate HRWPT systems (both the power source and power capture device).  WiCAD was developed by WiTricity to help get customers to market with real world solutions. Based on a decade of system evaluation and development experience, WiTricity engineers continually improve the accuracy of WiCAD, by can feeding back into the system the measured performance of actual prototype devices built using this toolset. The results demonstrate a high correlation between the simulation and the as-built hardware, reducing time from concept stage to prototype stage to market readiness.

WiCAD Overview

WiCAD was developed to help WiTricity design and model products based on our patented highly resonant wireless power transfer technology. WiCAD provides a complete set of electromagnetic simulators and circuit algorithms that compute:
