FAW is also a brand that regularly breaks new ground with emerging technologies and advanced features. They are the first car manufacturer in China to include WiTricity wireless charging in production vehicles, notably in its HongQi product line. To promote this new feature, FAW just released a cool commercial illustrating the power of wireless charging – and the great user experience – in its E-HS9 model, an electric subcompact luxury SUV.
Wireless EV Charging
Titled “Smart wireless charging – no need to get out of the car, no need to work, no need to stay,” the ad captures the excitement of wireless EV charging describing it as:
But the ad doesn’t stop there! It provides a clear picture of the advanced dashboard showing how easy it is to park accurately using the onboard positioning device. It goes even further showing autonomous parking – eliminating the need for the driver to stay in the car as it parks. You can’t help but smile as you watch the driver exit the HongQi and it starts charging itself.
Automotive Grade Technology
Beyond describing the user experience, HongQi also describes the rigorous and extensive testing that the wireless charging is subject to. This includes more than 180 test items and over 10,000 hours of test time: the commercial shows how the system is submitted to water chambers to ensure the system is waterproof, vibration tests to ensure system integrity, drive-over testing to ensure it can support weight and endure stress, and more.
